Membership Dues.

Annual dues should be calculated on the member's worldwide “analytical and life science systems” and “diagnostics” business revenues for the most recent business year of the member, its divisions, business units and subsidiaries.

Members that are the USA or North America operation of an overseas-based parent shall pay dues calculated on a combination of: (1) their sales of analytical and life science systems and diagnostics, as defined below, in the USA and NA, and (2) their export sales of analytical and life science systems and diagnostics manufactured in the US and NA.

A member’s “analytical and life science systems” business refers to revenues from the manufacture and supply of analytical and life science systems, including: instrumentation, chemical reagents and consumables, software and informatics, technologies, and services used for analysis and measurement in chemistry and life science applications.

A member's “diagnostics” business refers to revenues from: molecular diagnostics (use of DNA, RNA and proteins to test for specific states of health or disease); companion diagnostics (molecular assays that measure proteins, genes or mutations which are used to provide a specific therapy for an individual’s condition by stratifying disease status, selecting the proper medication and tailoring dosages to the patient’s specific needs); and emerging and next generation diagnostic technologies such as cellular diagnostics. It does not include classical clinical and immumo in vitro diagnostics.
