ALSSA is an advocate for our industry and a valuable aid to our members' global business success and to their customers' and users' advancement of science and life through the following programs and services:

  • Our semi-annual meetings provide our members' senior executives with unique networking opportunities and globally-oriented strategic presentations on emerging technologies, innovative management strategies and new market opportunities. Recent meetings have offered strategic insights on cancer research, personalized medicine, new opportunities in pharma, food safety, and green technologies.
  • Our meetings for sales & marketing and service executives offer customer insights on how procurement of our industry's products is evolving and strategies to improve performance and drive revenue growth, along with a convenient way for executives to access and stay plugged into our industry's functional executives' network.
  • Our Industry Market Assessment Report provides high level global market trends on a quarterly basis for 15 categories of products, including life science instrumentation, lab automation, cell analysis, chromatography, mass spectrometry, sample prep, and life science reagents.
  • ALSSA sponsors three market statistics reports. One tracks global bookings (orders) for about a dozen laboratory analytical instruments that is jointly sponsored with instrument associations in Japan and Europe. The second is a quarterly report tracking global sales for microplate readers. ALSSA also sponsors our members' participation in the semi-annual Bio-Research Reagents Market Reports offered through the ABA Audits firm.
  • ALSSA also sponsors an annual salary survey that gives participants accurate and useful industry-specific information on comp plan design, salary ranges, incentive pay, etc., for a wide range of USA-based jobs with a special emphasis on customer-facing sales and service positions.
  • Participation in our meetings and activities brings increased visibility in our industry, contacts with key executives, networking, and opportunities to pursue business partnerships.

The ALSSA web site will be expanded to reflect new content consistent with the Board's recent discussion of the value proposition — more content on meetings, speaker presentations, on-line meeting registration, networking amongst members, and market information.
