Carnecchia and Divincenzo Named to ALSSA Board of Directors

 

Alexandria, VA (December 15, 2010) — Greg Herrema, Chairman of The Analytical and Life Science Systems Association (ALSSA) today announced the appointment of two new directors to the ALSSA Board of Directors. The new directors are Max Carnecchia, President & CEO of Accelerys, and Jon DiVincenzo, Executive Vice President EMD Millipore.

Max Carnecchia, President & CEO of Accelrys. Mr. Carnecchia brings more than two decades of high technology experience to his current position. Most recently, he served as President of Interwoven, a global leader in content management solutions. At Interwoven, he ran the day-to-day operations of the business and led the company through 21 consecutive quarters of year over year revenue growth and operating margin expansion.

Mr. Carnecchia joined Interwoven in 2001 as Vice President of Alliances, and afterwards was promoted to Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales, overseeing the company’s global field organization prior to being promoted to President. Before Interwoven, he was Vice President of Global Sales for Xoriant, Vice President of Worldwide Field Operations for Smart DB Corporation sales, and also held management positions at Intel and Group 1 Software.

Jonathan DiVincenzo, Executive Vice President and President of the Bioscience Division of EMD Millipore. Prior to the merger of Millipore and Merck KGaA earlier this year, Mr. DiVicenzo served as President and Vice President of Millipore’s Bioscience Division. From July 2006 through December 2008, he served as Vice President, Worldwide Sales and Service for the Bioscience Division, and from January 2005 through June 2006, as the Bioscience Division’s Vice President of Marketing and R&D.

From January 2001 through January 2005, Mr. DiVincenzo served as the Vice President of Marketing and R&D for Lab Water Division, which combined with other businesses to become the Bioscience Division. Prior to such roles, Mr. DiVincenzo held a wide variety of positions in marketing and product development since joining Millipore in 1994.
